KLA to Host Event Focused on International Fundraising

Roundtable discussion will feature Elisa Botero, partner at the New York-based law firm Curtis LLP, who will speak on the structuring of international funds and negotiations with investors

On June 13, KLA will host the event “The Mechanics of International Fundraising: A Practical Guide for Brazilian Managers,” aimed at discussing key mechanisms for international capital raising with clients and partners.

The roundtable will focus on a presentation by Elisa Botero, a partner at the New York office of Curtis, Mallet-Prevost, Colt & Mosle LLP, and an expert in Corporate Law and Investment Funds. The event will be held in person at the KLA office in São Paulo (see address below) and conducted in English (no simultaneous translation will be provided).

During the session, Elisa will present Brazilian fund managers with a comprehensive roadmap of the international fundraising process—from defining the investment thesis and structuring the fund, to negotiating with investors and finalizing commitments.

With extensive experience advising Latin American managers, Elisa will offer in-depth insights into operational structures, documentation requirements, and the role of legal counsel throughout the process.

Joining Elisa will be KLA partners Laura Cossi and Patrícia Braga (Corporate Law, and Private Equity & Venture Capital), and Livia Siviero Bittencourt Huh (Capital Markets and Real Estate), who will contribute key perspectives on fundraising practices specific to the Brazilian market.
