The Municipal Law No. 16,869/2018 entered in force, which determines that bars, restaurants, coffee shops and similar, such as universities, shall make available portable cigarette collectors/ashtrays in their premises.
The rule provides that the portable cigarette collectors/ashtrays shall be removable, may not contain publicity and should be available only during the functioning hours of the facilities.
Such Law shall be regulated by Decree of the Mayor within a 90 days period. The non-compliance with its terms may be punishable with fines.
