The Federal Decree No. 9,271/2018, issued on last January 26th, regulates the granting of a new concession agreement associated with the privatization of the public generator concessionaire.
In summary, the Federal Government aims to stimulate the private sector to participate in the privatization of the concessionaires of energy generation by providing to the auction winner the possibility to be granted with a new up-to-30 years concession agreement, counted from the date of its signing.
