KLA Advogados is proud to announce the arrival of António Aires as its Senior Consultant in the areas of banking, capital markets and restructuring. He will also work with stressed assets and with companies in special situations. Aires has more than 40 years of experience, and is widely recognized for his work. With his arrival, KLA will boost his team and the delivery of its transactional and regulatory work.

Aires’ expertise dates back to the 80’s, when he earned his law degree from Universidade de São Paulo – USP, and attended the Special Program in Business Administration at Universidade Mackenzie. He was also  a partner in large law firms, worked for an international bank and had his own firm.

Among its clients, including multinationals, are top-tier private companies and institutions, as well as the Brazilian Federation of Banks –  Febraban, in which he worked on  the amendment of the restructuring and insolvency law, which was enacted in 2020.

Aires accumulates in his resume activities such as teaching and speaking at prestigious schools, such as Instituto de Pesquisa – Insper, Faculdades Alvares Penteado –  FAAP, Universidade de São Paulo – USP and Fundação Getulio Vargas –FGV, as well as in associations and private institutes. He has also published articles and participated in collective work in topics of his expertise.
